AS 22734:2020 - Hydrogen Generators Using Water Electrolysis
(Industrial, Commercial, and Residential Applications)
HYDROGEN STANDARD OBJECTIVES
This standard delineates the requisite construction, safety, and performance criteria for packaged or factory-matched hydrogen gas generation devices. These devices employ electrochemical reactions to electrolyze water, yielding hydrogen and oxygen gases. It gives comprehensive insights into mechanical and electrical design, and installation prerequisites, and covers guidance on package control systems and testing methodologies.
AS 22734:2020 holds paramount importance for Australia as it implements a set of minimum requirements.
These requirements serve as a benchmark when evaluating electrolyzers for equipment selection and project planning during installation. JOURNEY systems are also certified for safe use under NSW Mines regulations and are approved under the European CE Accreditation.
SIGNIFICANCE FOR AUSTRALIA
JOURNEY systems have also been risk assessed and SWMS are available for specific system applications. JOURNEY systems have been rated as Low-Risk Level 1.
